Grade School

A day in the life of a grade school Marcelli pupil is anything but ordinary. In every grade level, children are active and observant participants. The school’s progressive program entails them to collaborate with their classmates, exchange views and ideas, and solve simple to complex problems. These also give them the chance to learn how to communicate well and respect each others’ opinions. Throughout their elementary years, students develop critical thinking skills that are essential in today’s world; we prepare them not only for secondary education, but for the real world, too. The school’s program encourages pupils to use critical thinking, thus moving beyond the lessons found in books, and diving into the application of their insights in their daily lives.

To bridge the context experienced by the group of students along with the learning concepts per level is the teachers’ goal for each unit. The thematic-integrated curriculum seeks to produce:

  • Students who gain more initiative and are actively involved in classroom exercises
  • Children whose second nature is to be able to connect concepts across multiple disciplines
  • Pupils that are able to freely expresses themselves with depth and confidence
  • Learners who excel not because of the pressure to meet academic requirements, but because they are motivated to learn.

Here at Marcelli, we produce a holistic environment through various activities being done inside and beyond our classrooms. Catering to our students’ curiosity and work-life balance, we ensure constant maintenance of the facilities for academics and play. Moreover, we also immerse our grade school students to participate in community visits, or mini-field trips.
